Here are a few tips to prevent a burn:
- Always lather up with sunscreen – at least SPF 30, or higher
- REMEMBER: Lather up every two hours, especially if you are swimming
- Stay out of the sun from 10 AM – 4 PM, as the sun is at its strongest
- Choose a lip balm with sunscreen for lip protection
- Seek shade when possible
- Wear a hat with a wide brim to protect your neck, ears, eyes, and scalp
- Choose sunglasses with UV ray protection to cover the sensitive skin around your eyes
- Wear light, protective clothing – dark clothing attracts the sun
